VALIENTE-THE BRAVE ONE

During our recent free sterilization campaign a young boy ran up to us to inform us about a dog that was laying in the mud by the side of the road, a dog that was most likely poisoned in the Juan Carlos Del Aguila neighborhood. Elvis and I rushed to help the animal. The rest of the story is bellow.

The only method of street animal population control is sterilization. Poisoning is cruel and falls under animal cruelty and is punishable by law in Peru ( Animal Protection and Welfare Law : LEY 30407) and it can land you in prison for up to five years. In addition poisoning doesn't work. For any culled animal an new one will take its place.

We offer free sterilization campaigns in low income neighborhoods to help with this not "animal problem" but "human problem". We want to thank Dr. Alfredo Salazar and his assistant Frank Aliaga Ruiz for their help and commitment to all animals.
